went to Versailles
was raining and cold; did not dress well for the occasion
oh well
but when we got there, there was a long ass line
why you ask?
our tickets didn’t //skip the line//
we tried to get in quicker using a tour guide but
they had none left DDD:
waited a solid 1.5 hours just to get in
… I will admit that overall, the palace was beautiful
hall fo mirrors was slightly underwhelming tho
too touristy right now
but the most fascinating part was probably the maiden’s rooms
so much detail and recreation went into those
aesthetic was nice and the audio guide helped us fill in what the princesses’ lives were like
the gardens were beaut
I can see why people literally just buy a tickets only for the gardens
huge; like DC’s national mall
yet the landscaping is divine
had a bit of fun with the scarf and the rain
chilled a bit with hot chocolate before getting on the train/metro back to the hotel
chilled and saw my cousins <3
they had fun shopping the entire day but we were hungryyy
and wanted to eat
We ate at a michelin resturant which was inspired by a tire company ?
lol first time I’ve ever heard that
4 courses
lots of food tho
was apparently not as fast a s a michelin restaurant should be, not as friendly or something
idk
society I feel judges places too much
but then again maybe the cost of the restaurant was high enough to warrant such a thing
idk

but it was delicious nonetheless
my sister wouldn’t eat any of her houses
okay any is an overstatement
more like 3/4s of her courses
so of couse, I ate them for her
